Emilie Thiessen is an introvert who enjoys peace, calm, and the occasional adventure. She loves gardening, music from every corner of the globe, anything beautiful, food with complex flavors, and the intricacies of language.
In the spring of 2023, Emilie self-published her first picture book, The Art of Reality: Welcome to Your Life. The Art of Reality is a foundational book for a series focusing on shame-free skill-building for all ages. The next books in the series - The Art of Keeping House and The Reality of Death - are scheduled to be published in the fall of 2023.
Emilie has a bachelor's degree in French and journalism and lives in an old house in southern Minnesota with her husband, three children, three cats, and two dogs.
