Pedro Lucas Martins

Pedro Lucas Martins was born in Lisbon, Portugal, in 1983.
In 2007, he won the first CTLX/MOTELX writing contest, publishing his short story, 'O Carrinho de Mão' (The Wheelbarrow), in the anthology 'Contos de Terror do Homem-Peixe' (Tales of Terror of the Fish Man).
In 2018, he won the first edition of the António de Macedo Award, with his first novel, 'As Sombras de Lázaro' (The Shadows of Lazarus). This novel also won the Great Adamastor Award for Portuguese Fantastic Fiction, in 2020.
He has also been published in other anthologies and magazines, and is mainly dedicated to horror fiction.
Aside from writing, he works as a translator, as a proofreader and as a researcher in the fields of Education and Sociolinguistics.
