Michael P. King
How many times have you heard or read a news report that made you think, “You just can't make this stuff up. What could they possibly have been thinking?” People often involve themselves in a chain of events that leads to unforeseen consequences simply because they want to take what they think is the easy way out, or they want to take what they think is a short cut to wealth or fame. I'm fascinated by this tendency, and it's the jumping off place for my fiction.

Al Macy

But he put his storytelling on the back burner until he retired and wrote a blog about his efforts to improve his piano sight-reading. That's when his love of storytelling burbled up to the surface, along with quirky words like “burble.”
He had even more fun writing his second book, Drive, Ride, Repeat, but was bummed by non-fiction's need to stick to “the truth” (yucko). From then on it was fiction all the way, with a good dose of his science background burbling to the surface.

Dan Klasing
I live in Alabama. Yes, I know. Stereotypes abound about the south in general and Alabama in particular. Some are true. Some are not. I graduated from Auburn University and then attended law school at The University of Alabama. There’s a big football rivalry between the two schools you may have heard about. It’s a major thing down here.

For almost thirty years I practiced law all over the state. No need to bore you with that, except for the fact that my job allowed me to meet real-life characters of all types. Some good. Some bad. And some were just plain outlandish. Not surprisingly, I often develop characters based on the interesting people I met through the years.
I’m still a lawyer, at least technically. But now I’m doing something I tru -

After warning of the dangers of Hitlerism and Stalinism, "Rescuing Zia - the Bloodied Road to Damascus" exposes the misuse of Islam's archaic sharia law. Not all Germans of the period were Nazis and not all Russians were Soviet hardliners and in the case of the third book, the author points out that not all Islamic fundamentalists are bloodthirsty jihadists.
