Janis Harper is a writer, editor, singer-songwriter, actor, and former adjunct English professor turned expressive arts therapist. Her lifelong passions for the arts, metaphysics, spirituality, and philosophy come together in her 2021 philosophical-spiritual novel, "Jonas and the Mountain: A Metaphysical Love Story" (Sacred Stories). Although fictional, she considers it to be the truest work she’s ever written. Janis's writing can be found in literary journals and anthologies, including in two creative nonfiction anthologies that she conceived and edited: "Body Breakdowns: Tales of Illness and Recovery" and "Emails From India: Women Write Home." I grew up in a family with five boys, which taught me a great deal about patience and persistence. My parents were incredibly supportive of creativity, and thanks to their influence, my brothers and I pursued various forms of art.
I am married to a wonderful and supportive wife, and I have three daughters who will someday rule the world.
Though I earned a Bachelor of Arts in English, I gained more knowledge from David Farland/Wolverton and Priscilla Van Der Weele-Smith.
Alan Brenham is the pseudonym of Alan Behr, an American author and attorney. He served as a law enforcement officer before earning a law degree from Baylor University and worked as a prosecutor and criminal defense attorney for twenty-two years. Alan began his writing craft by studying novels by Michael McGarrity, James Hayman, and Michael Connelly. He has authored ten crime fiction novels. Alan and his wife, Lillian, currently live in the Central Texas area.
Award-winning author Sophie Neville became inadvertently well known as a child when she starred as Titty in the 1974 feature film of Arthur Ransome's book Swallows and Amazons.
After that sunshiny time she went on to work for the BBC behind the camera on television programmes such as Gerald Durrell's My Family and Other Animals, Doctor Who and Eastenders. Having produced her own Inset series for BBC2 she was busy directing her second drama serial for children when disaster struck in the form of a mystery illness.
Fully recovered, Sophie now lives on the south coast of England with her husband. Every year she disappears for a while to ride in different parts of the world and has also been known to go sailing, but only when the sun shines.
