Fikret Adil
(Istanbul, 1901 - Switzerland, 1973)
Fikret Adil was a journalist, writer and translator who made very important contributions to Turkish literature. He used the abbreviation of his name, Fa as a penname. He worked at magazines, newspapers and a variety of government institutions.
Fikret Adil made his name as a journalist in 1920's and 1930's. During the Second World War he worked at the American News Bureau. He also worked as a translator at the Tass and Stefani Agencies. From 1927 onwards he worked in Hungary, Greece, Italy, Cyprus, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Libya, Egypt, England, India, the Netherlands and Pakistan at different times. He wrote down his impressions about the places he lived, and these were later published.

Natalia Ginzburg (née Levi) was an Italian author whose work explored family relationships, politics during and after the Fascist years and World War II, and philosophy. Oğuz Atay
Oğuz Atay (1934–1977) was a pioneer of the modern novel in Turkey. His first novel, Tutunamayanlar (The Disconnected), appeared 1971-72.
