Dale Lorna Jacobsen

Dale Lorna Jacobsen is a freelance writer who has the good fortune to live in the bush just outside Maleny, Queensland, Australia. She is passionate about grass-roots history, which led to the publication of three novels: Union Jack (2011), political intrigue set in Queensland in the 1920s; Yenohan’s Legacy (2013), a story of love and life in the High Country of Australia; Being Lucy: the story of a recluse (2018), set in East Gippsland High Country in Victoria, it is based on the true story of Lucy Strobridge of Brookville. In 2019, she published Antarctic Engineer, a memoir of centenarian John Russell who served as expedition engineer for ANARE. He is the last surviving member of the 10-man team who established Mawson Station in 1954.
