Andra is an Australian writer working to tell powerful stories to help us better understand our world and each other.

Her debut book reveals the incredible stories of how her two Latvian grandmothers lived through the terror of the Second World War and survived to immigrate to Australia.

Against the backdrop of our increasingly uncertain world, the book delves into why we need the stories of our grandmothers to better understand where we come from and who we want to be.

Andra lives in Canberra on Ngunnawal and Ngambri country with her partner and two children. She's loves spending time curled up reading or outside in the sun.

Vizma Belševica

Vizma Belševica was a Latvian poet, writer and translator. She was nominated for the Nobel Prize in Literature.

Receiving the Nobel prize was her childhood dream; she, as a poor but bright girl, spent much of her time reading classical literature. Emelie Schepp

Anna Emelie Schepp, född den 5 september 1979 i Motala är svensk kriminalförfattare.

1998 vann hon Östgötateaterns dramapristävling, Möten.

Sara Baume

Sara Baume is an Irish novelist.
Her father is of English descent while her mother is of Irish descent. As her parents travelled around in a caravan, Sara Baume was born "on the road to Wigan Pier". When she was 4, they moved to County Cork, Ireland. She studied fine art at Dun Laoghaire College of Art and Design and creative writing at Trinity College, Dublin from where she was awarded her MPhil. She has received a Literary Fellowship from the Lannan Foundation in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Her books are published by Tramp Press in Ireland and Heinemann in Britain.
